I don't understand how people claim to be living a super unhealthy life style, and they just start doing shyt like this out of the blue.
c/s

I know people who have ran marathons and can body a treadmill on any give day and on these days they only doin' 5-7 miles on a quick treadmill session but on here niccas sayin' they can do 12 miles a day easily if they wanted:what: The internet is just too much some times:snoop:

Not to say it's easy because it ain't but its something they obsessively build towards as an escape

Like their tolerance to booze or drugs as their tools to not feel shyt.

They're applying that exact same energy to zoning out on a treadmill or open road.

How can you not see how some become obsessive about it to the point they're capable of wild shyt.

Treadmill is believable. But not on a track or concrete. My feet shins and ankles kill me after 3 miles.

How do you figure?

Ive never heard this before.

So 1 mile is really like 2?

Then how come it takes the same amount of time to run?

huh? how does it magically reduce when you're on land

When you run on a treadmill, you are on an artificial track thats moving beneath you. This reduces the amount of strain on your muscles by a lot (nearly 50 percent?). You're moving your legs in a running motion but you aren't really running that distance. Its essentially a simulation at the end of the day.

When you run on solid ground you are physically planting and vaulting your entire body forward with each and every stride. You have to establish your own momentum and rythym... the ground isnt doing it for you. WAYY more muscle activation at work and takes a LOT more out of you.

A lot of newbies make the mistake of training for 5k's and half marathons etc by sticking to the treadmill only to get a rude awakening about 1.5 mile in.

Wow.

The most I did on the treadmill so far is just a mile in a half hour :flabbynsick: with the incline at 8 and the speed at 2 MPH. I did ride 12 miles on the stationary bike though, rode the Bike for a hour stright quite a few times but I noticed it became harder to do as time went on. I'm a newbie at going to the Gym and have been going for just over a month. I don't really like the treadmill because it makes me sweat like crazy, even my hands be leaving sweat prints all over the machine.

I have no idea if I lost weight or as I haven't weighed myself since like October, TBH I doubt it as I keep eating snacks, now I try to limits snacks to every other day and eat basic cheese and Turkey or Chicken sandwiches for lunch.

Run outdoors breh..

And yes I'm on the east coast so I know the conditions:heh:...

You start to take shyt serious when you put yourself in uncomfortable predictaments...

Get the headphones and zone out..

I don't even wanna touch the treadmill anymore

Nah..I wouldn't do that much. I walk like 6-8 miles a day. But I do extra shyt. I do polymetric stuff and calisthenics and I hit the heavybag/shadowbox. Having handspeed and being fast means everything to me.

I like exercise bikes too. Haven't used one since May though.

I've grown to like the treadmill, I did an hour on the treadmill twice since I made my post, most recent earlier this week, second time 8 incline but 3MPH burned 504 caleries :wow: I did slow it down to 2.5 mph a couple times cause I was getting tired, but only for five minutes before I put the speed back to 3.0.

I'm a tad bit to flabby to jog but I do go on long walks from time to time.

I don't know if you have a medical condition, but if you really want to get in shape, run/jog if you can..

It takes time to build up stamina and endurance, but the feeling is euphoric...

Get some good running shoes and rock out..

I changed some of what I initially wrote earlier, but I will write it here with extras...

The more uncomfortable you make your workouts, the more you gonna wanna get in shape and stay that way because of the effort it took to get there..

I went running in the cold and I seen a grandma out there getting it in..shyt like that motivates me and makes me want to get it in even more...

Some nikka old enough to be my father left my ass in the dust..that shyt low key made me feel like I need to step my shyt up..he don't know me and I don't know him...but he gave me motivation..lil does he know I was competing against him

You gotta look around the gym and create some motivation..

Then everything falls into place from there..
