It kinda irritated me how when the Harden trade went down, the talk throughout the media and social networks was it's time to bet on the Lakers coming out of the west. What, the Spurs don't exist anymore? The Clippers? What makes them better than OKC even without Harden?

Howard may have been an upgrade over Bynum, but they still have the same deficiencies they had the last two years... and lacking team speed especially on the perimeter, no athletic wings except Kobe so everyone's standing around watching him try to create, no scoring depth, poor team chemistry, bad coaching. But they're a "superteam."

I don't understand where all your confidence comes from. The Lakers were better than the Clippers LAST year. Of course the media was going to put them over them prior to seeing them play. Of course the media would put an LA team that improved it's starting line up over an OKC team that was eeking out wins against LA when their team was worse.

It's like you're not a fan of reality and are trying to play the media favoritism card. You sound like those Celtics fans that I was telling MIA would beat them in the playoffs after MIA started off 9-8. The Lakers still need tweaks, but citing chemistry a week into the season is grasping.
