Damien Sandow said he was gonna change THE VERY FOUNDATION OF THIS BUSINESS.

He's someone to keep in mind when evaluating whether guys the internet likes should actually get a big push. The internet legitimately wanted this guy to get a big push because he was getting pops with the Mizdow stunt double gimmick.

He was getting good reactions waaaaaay before the Mizdow gimmick. Also, there's a difference in getting a big push vs simply taking advantage of a guys momentum. Nobody was asking for a Sandow World title reign. But that was definitely a sink or swim moment and Sandow absolutely drowned. When you leave the WWE, you're supposed to revamp yourself, get focused, and feel like you're a new man. Sandow did not a single thing, and just showed up in TNA like the average disgruntled former WWE guy like he was supposed to be a big deal, and completely flopped.

WWE Smarks do that all the time. Cling to some in house goof ironically then work themselves into actually caring about the goof, then goof get released they complain. Then their favorite goof plays a serious character in their indie run and everyone is like :picard: Eventually, they go back to being a joke character to less success or they retire.
