After 2 listens in the gym, I think this is Elzhi’s best work since Witness My Growth. Similarly to Witness My Growth & Lead Poison, Elzhi isn’t just rapping, he’s conveying a relatable message on every song. Khrysis laced him with some heat on this as well. They really have a good partnership.

Favourite tracks so far:
Seventeen
Friends
Talkin’ Bout
To Do List
Listen
Likewise!

Haven't listened yet but I honestly hope that EL is back on his "technical" shyt, meaning complicated rhyme schemes and patterns.

He's strayed away from that on his last few projects for some reason. He's been rapping in a more simple, straight-up, poetic manner.

What made me a fan of EL in the first place was his technical skills.

Dude is still better than 98% of the game even when he spits "simple" but I really love his technical skills.

I gotta go all the way back to "Detroit Deli" and "Slum Village" to hear that eLZhi

It's a good mix of both styles IMO.

Got damn. on the ovethinkin track and had to keep rewinding elzhis last verse. Dude blacked the fukk out:scust:
Khrysis was saying he learned a ton about writing from Elzhi and watching Elzhi write was different than any rapper he'd ever seen do it.

I wish he said exactly what it was, but he said the way Elzhi comes up with his patterns and words is some next level shyt.

:damn:

They're doing more Jericho Jackson projects BTW

Only beats I'm not really feelin are Cuffin season, brequets, and thank you. Not bad but just bland. The rest are fire. I'm happy this shyt delivered. Elzhi is floating all over this.

He addresses some of what you're talking about on Overthinking.
