I will say, as fukked up as all this is, this was pretty impressive by Elon.
Idk if it was planned or if he just saw an opportunity (probably the opportunity, since he is an opportunist that doesn’t come up with his own ideas) but it is kind of impressive.
Basically created a backdoor to the President. Similar to other billionaire companies though (oil, energy, etc).
Yup. Like you mentioned earlier, dude bought the entire Trump Campaign as an investment, that investment kept a lot of people out of jail.
A lot of people owe Elon big time. Elon wasn’t voted President though. However, the President owes Elon.
How do you get power then if you’re not the President? You create a role that has undefined and loose guidelines. All those other Cabinet roles are too constrained. Department of Government Efficiency sounds like it sits above a lot of Federal roles and nobody knows the extent.
Then you throw in all the other shyt:
The defense/aerospace industry wants to work with Musk’s tech.
Twitter dominates a large part of social media and the news. Keeps a lot of Republicans relevant. Where are they going to post if they don’t have a Twitter account? Truth Social?
Dude is the richest person on the planet.
That’s all shyt the Republican Party gravitates to and again, he kept a lot of them out of investigations and jail. People in Congress on that side of there aisle are very glad he’s there.
That’s the U.S President right there. Lowkey that’s probably why Trump seems less energetic. Partly due to his age I’m sure, but it’s probably a large part because he knows Elon is basically running things (and he gets to basically chill).
