The truth of the tweet is exactly what this thread was titled. Elon is saying exactly what a lot of us already knew about him. He has ALWAYS been the same person, with the same shytty ideals, hatred, racism, and bigotry. He is saying that before he started coming out publicly saying he supports that hate speech shyt, he was considered center left, and in 2008 there were not any consequences for alot of that hateful shyt, but now that there are consequences for being publicly hateful, and promoting pure unadulterated trash, he feels like the right are the only people that accept him for being a dog water piece of shyt, because they are all the same. Now if you think that Elon is a good guy, and everybody is being over sensitive, that says more about you than what you think everybody else gets out of the tweet. Poor billionaire, Elon, now that is one guy who could use a shoulder to cry on, and our utmost empathy, all the money in the world, and some people on Twitter think he isn’t a great guy!
