My dad always says any liberal that lives long enough will eventually become conservative. Because liberalism will always continue to expand and push for new/fringe rights/opportunities. Where conservatism by nature wants things to remain the status quo.

It's not true at all though. The Baby Boomers and their parents turned to the right during the Reagan Revolution but most generations don't follow that trend, and in more recent history even the baby boomers moves are ambiguous.

Elon is an alt right douche bag but he’s maybe 5% correct. The landscape has shifted so much. I would say the average person in America is center/moderate. We don’t align with racists, bigots and MAGAs who think climate change and Covid is a hoax. But we don’t align with blue hair cross dressers that want to use the same bathroom as little girls and be referred to as them and their either. The average person just wants sensible people in charge who act fairly and honestly and calls things straight. If there was a multi party system in America, Democrats and Republicans would get their feelings HURT because a lot of people would vote other.
