Its that old addage of

These right wing groups started real easy with soft targets like gays, and moved on to black people, then hispanics, then white women were shocked to be on the chopping block, and finally its comming to jews.
Its the same silly strategy they have used for centuries . But what white people dont realize is that this right wing ideology canabalizes them too. Historically, the same people that hated gays, immigrants, black people, women, and jews also denigrated their own white men for being poor or the wrong type of white ethnic group, or just being the wrong class. And the h1b thing is this last type of canabalism where their ideology must eat itself on a class basis.
Germany's leading party right now is also far right. Their party leadership is actively trying to gain funding from musk and wont even criticize him. This is problematic because we saw Elon meddling in the weaker EU state of Ireland and germany as the largest member of the EU should be defending its territory.
NPR posted a clip of their female head of east germany dodging the question of musk's political interference by saying, "but what about george Soros?"
This caught my attention because in American circles, any mention of Soros is a dog whistle for jewish hatred. So perhaps germany is regressing too?

You're right....but we also gotta acknowledge that while Roosevelt wanted to enter WW2 against the Nazis/Hitler, a significant portion of the American public and elected official did not want to. Some will say it was because they didn't believe in USA intervening (even tho they were already doing plenty of that).........but a lot of it was because they were Nazi sympathizers/admirers.
Roosevelt only got the American public behind the idea of fighting Nazism AFTER Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
