Bluesky becoming a news hub similar to old Twitter is a big deal but it's not enough. Bluesky would need major footing in at least 3 of those 4 pillars before it begins to become a true Twitter killer

This and I think a lot of people just don't feel like hopping on yet another social media platform unless it offers something truly different. If Bluesky wants to get twitter out the paint it needs to offer something really innovative. Twitter becoming a racist echo chamber ain't moving the needle for a lot of people especially casuals who either don't care or don't come in contact with those types.

So yes Elon being a racist megalomaniac is not enough for a lot of people to abandon X or stop buying Tesla. What's been more effective in causing an exodus from x is the fact that the actual app itself has become a much worse product to navigate. This is where Bluesky wears the burden of having to be a better product and medium than Twitter/X has been for the past 15 years, current flaws and all

Many big communities like gamers, finance/investing, and crypto are fine with Musk and will stay. Unless Black Twitter or another large contingent moves it is a stalemate.

Also i follow a lot of scientists and they are staying on X to "fight the good fight" against misinformation. Whether this is naive, we will see...
