I just found the video I watched some years back

Malema handled this very respectfully imo
The reality is that so many Xhosa have Khoisan blood now

Also did u know there are genetic markers shared specifically between the Khoisan and the Igbo?

There’s also one where an African had to tell an Indian off

That was taking up for white south afticans

I wish I could find it

I actually found that SCT occurred during the Holocene wet phase over 7000 years ago
I literally just stumbled on this like a month ago. Clarified so much, like how SCT ended up along the southern Mediterranean: bc, once the drying started, ppl split up in all directions. (This also confirms what I thought: Berbers and other N. Africans didn't start out lightskin.)

"An exploration of the likeliest sources of admixture in our data suggested that HG admixture in Igbo was most closely represented by modern day Khoe-San populations rather than by rainforest HG populations"

That African Genome Project has accumulated so much data its almost mind-blowing

I came across the research papers when I was studying the origins of Sickle Cell Trait, which I, my Igbo and Jamaican sides of my family all have inherited. My Mother's side the Yoruba, do not have SCT.

I actually found that SCT occurred during the Holocene wet phase over 7000 years ago and we share one common paternal ancestor.

This changes my thinking by a lot

HG, like the Hadza, were more widespread than I thought. I thought the HG population in West Africa was similar to the Mbuti and Baka

do yall think white South Africans aren't listening to this? OK...if they are...what happens when they move on this?
They get crushed. Unlike america, black south africans are the vast majority. You have an inferiority complex, they do not.

It's really interesting, SCT is just one example of gene mutation and natural selection, and yeah not much need for SCT along the Mediterranean yet it's there. I'm really interested in SCT and it's how I discovered there were 2 separate types of African on the continent. The HG, hunter gatherers and the Agricultural who pushed the HG towards the coastal lines.

I could go on 4 ever, one study I'm reading focus on these particular groups with SCT

ACB, African Caribbean in Barbados; ASW, People with African Ancestry in Southwest USA; CLM, Colombians in Medellín, Colombia; ESN, Esan in Nigeria; GWD, Gambian in Western Division, Mandinka; LWK, Luhya in Webuye, Kenya; MSL, Mende in Sierra Leone; PUR, Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico; and YRI, Yoruba in Ibadan, Nigeria.

It's crazy how invested Europeans are in studying our DNA/Origins

Napoleon would be arguing FOR Apartheid if it was 1993 and not 2023

He is evil :yeshrug:

God bless Africa and Africans/Afro-descendants all over this Earth!

The SA National Anthem was adopted as the Pan-African anthem. Growing up, I didn't even know the tune was from SA until a few years ago because every Sunday in black history month since I was a child, we sang it at Mass at church. They still do. It's a beautiful song and feels me up with pride.

If anyone's church uses the Lift Every Voice And Sing Hymnal, it's literally the last hymn in the book - Bless, O Lord, Our Country Africa

Well, the region is much drier than it was in the past. It may have been useful during the Humid Period.

Aint it, tho? But peep how, when we do get interested, whites, arabs, the whole planet, all get together to tell us we stupid and too illiterate to comprehend what we're reading.

When you really think about it, our enslavement actually passed along very helpful genes to ppl who would have been naked out here without them in the upcoming era of climate change and such. There's a whole continent of people who barely claim black (SA), but 'black' enough to have SCT and melanin and whatever else we got (muscle formation, etc).
