The camera is the boss for a number of those bigger fights, especially the dragons.

I also hate how Astel and a lot of the big boss battles are repeated in the open world.

Breh, that's another issue too. The camera. The game took me back to PS2 levels of bad camera angles.

For instance, I was near the end of the game and I had to jump across the platforms. The message said "lock on to the target to kill it so it won't knock you off the platform".

My smooth brained ass locked on the target and ended up falling, due to the awkward angle of the camera

It's very rare that a long game doesnt overstay its welcome.

Persona 5 is my favorite game ever, and even at the end I was like "Aight ya'll, lets wrap this up"

Elden Ring's design basically ensures it won't age badly because there are multiple paths through the game that 80% of people won't see if they take another way up to Altus for example.
So there's whole sections people will discover on later playthroughs that have been in the game since vanilla.

I'm also 90% sure the DLC changes vanilla areas as well. The replayability is going to be big. Never used co-op, beat the game multiple times.

Never knew there were so many Souls stans

As much as I loved Elden Ring it will probably be my last Souls-like game for a while. I've been playing all of them since Demon's Souls on PS3 and I'm just burnt out on the formula now. Not to mention Elden Ring did begin to drag towards the end.
