im 50+ hours in the game and I don’t even know what tarnished means. I don’t know who I’m fighting or even why I’m fighting them. I don’t even know where I am

I’m just running around killing people

yea I have no idea what the game is about to be honest. It’s piff but I have no direction in terms of quests. I’m just running around getting my ass whooped

A Tarnished is someone who is cut off from the grace of the Erdtree. You are fighting the children of Merika aka demigods. They don't like the Tarnished because the Tarnished since they are cut off from grace can essentially become godlike themselves. The point of the game is to defeat the demigods, collect their runes and complete the Elden Ring so you can ascend the throne of the Elden Lord who is essentially the goddesses husband/lover. The Elden Lord rules over the lands between.

i had 225K runes. Them shyts disappeared? I didn't buy anything, did not die(if i did i'd see the sign where i should get my runes back)....

I’ve had runes disappear if the game turns off without resting first.

Got 60 hours now (about 54 actual gameplay) and feel like I haven't done nothing​
