I started this up last night and man the PC version is a bit of a bummer. Capped 60fps and its performance is poor. I'm only getting 44~50fps in Limgrave on a 3060 TI/Ryzen 7 3700x at 4K. Even knocking down settings and resolution it's not even a locked 60fps. No ultrawide support or DLSS support is disappointing as hell. I feel like letting the game sit for a while until a patch comes and resolves these issues.

Besides that though at the start it took me quite a few tries to defeat the first boss that's right outside the cave you come out of. The tree sentinel gave me problems, but I tried to fight him on foot, which I almost did successfully. I then shortly after exploring a bit came across Torrent and was able to go back and beat him with ease.

So far though, the game feels like Dark Souls with a jump button and a mount. I feel as if I could turn this off and jump into Demons or Dark Souls with ease.

doesn’t seem like it, but that jump button is a big deal.

Started a play though of DS3 and it just don’t feel right after spending 150 hours with Elden Ring.

Yeah I mean it is but just overall, the roots of this game is still very much "Souls". It's like Dino Crisis to Resident evil.
Yeah, i agree.

Elden ring could definitely be called DS4.

But the small changes do “feel” big going back to play the older games.

For better and worse. I actually like the combat of DS3 better i think. Every encounter feels a lot more significant. Elden ring most fights you can breeze through.

So I got to Crumbling Farum Azula and just rushed to the Godskin Duo fight so I could get that stone and spend my runes. That fight was not hard either. I think everything after Malenia is gonna be easy to me smh.
