Soccer is probably the cheapest sport in the world. That's why poverty-stricken places like Brazil produce world class players every other year.

He actually has somewhat of a point, some infrastructure is necessary in soccer. It's the exact problem Brazil is facing now, Brazil doesnt have a rich, collective, strategic soccer culture, it has an individualistic and rather outdated one, and what we're seeing now in the modern game is alot of strategy in the sport. That 7-1 loss to Germany hit brazilians hard, and it has been noticed that the "futebol bonito" that has always been practiced by brazilians is now falling short to the German and Spanish style of play, which is more structured, disciplined and organized. A lot of the same coaches in the campeonato brasileiro and less strategy and tactics is being done in training, and that style of footy played in the favels based on "ginga" and individualism isn't enough to get by anymore.

But blacks in America are doing better than a lot of people around the world. They just don't want to play soccer, it has nothing to do with opportunity.

do you know how much soccer leagues are in America? Seriously do you?

Also in other countries the country/clubs recruit young players and put them in their academy. For one we barely have any soccer academies and the USA/Clubs aren't in the community promoting the sport.

Hell baseball was super popular in black communities and cacs priced nikkas straight outta that shyt. At least MLB is making an effort to bring it back

US Soccer is trash and the MLS would rather blow all its money on international washed up stars who want a nice retirement check. Then they pay domestic players pennies.

MLS is hypebeast soccer at its finest because anybody who truly wanted to see the sport grow in America wouldn't cosign the fukk shyt MLS does.

Its only falling short because recent Brazillian players have been average/trash compared to what we're used to seeing from Brazil

02 Brazil of Dida, Cafu, Lucio, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Gilberto Silva, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo :ohlawd:

Yeaa kinda, i mean Ronaldo was nicknamed the phenomenon for a reason, he and probably Rivaldo and Dinho aren't players that appear every generation. Brazil have had above average players i think, but the managers haven't done their part

Going for Colombia of course. Watching them beat USA ass yesterday was :banderas: I hope Colombia at least wins so I can see them play in Phoenix. Damn they are in Group A so I don't think it will happen. :patrice:

USA played well Columbia just had the goals :manny:

Central defense was the lone bright spot minus Cameron going to sleep on the Zapata goal.. Wing defense was spotty, but not punished. Zardes, with his inconsistent touch and all, was the only person moving the ball through Colombia's defense. Bradley was shyt, Jones was equally shyt. Long balls are inaccurate and nobody else in the midfield can hold on to the ball under pressure. The quality balls that were delivered, Dempsey didn't do anything with them; Wood had ONE quality ball (and he was called off-sides when he was on).

Lastly, it's evident that Fabian Johnson detests playing LB. He'll continue to half-ass it as long as he's on the pitch.

You considered the past Brazil world cup to to be joga bonito style? Please..to me they played like euros...if anything they lacked and have been lacking the joga bonito style...that same style has garnered 5 world cups...now its a problem?

I'm not trying to put words into his mouth (@Hollister correct if I'm misrepresenting what you said), but I think he was saying that due to the reliance of style over substance Brazilians have fallen behind the other elite countries in terms of technique and utilizing modern strategies. The rest of the world has caught up with us in terms of pure talent, but we haven't advanced to their level in the technical aspects of the game.

Even the Brazilians that play in Europe have been critical of Dunga and the coaching staff of Seleçao, because their methods are antiquated in comparison to what they're use to doing with their professional clubs. You can win with basic game plans and techniques when you just have more ability than everybody else, but that's not the case anymore. I'm not saying we need to completely abandon our identity, but we do need to advance into the 21st Century if we want to recapture our former glory.
