Sounds like the parents were relatively responsible in this instance. They were hesitant to take action, but the kid's behavior was extreme and he was threatening to mutilate himself, so they did the research, took him to a psychiatrist, and eventually and came up with a reasonable response. They're not turning him into anything. All they're doing is delaying puberty and giving the kid time so he can clear up his confusion one way or another.
@Type Username Here , this is the kind of thing I was talking about in terms of responsible parenting when we discussed this issue before. IMO this kind of puberty delay is good for kids who need to sort themselves out, since it doesn't commit them to anything one way or another and causes no long term effects, while allowing them to mature as people and see if it's a phase or not.
If he has a penis, then he's a boy.
What if an 8 year old boy feels that he wants to be a parrot? ...He's 8, give him some cereal and put on Dragonball Z. What the fukk is the world coming to.
