dude was at his best form at 135 but i dont think he was going to improve much more as a fighter by that point...by the fight with demarco he was literally being super aggressive without much care for defense... if he had a chance to go to 140 the chinks in armor would have started showing
who was he supposed to fight next?
I don't remember..all I know was he was prolly a future opponent for manny

The same way everyone else did at 130 & 135...an L for Valero
Even looking at common opponents, AB beat DeMarco much easier, quicker, and impressively than Valero could.

AB beat Paulie who was coming off of 5 straight victories, Garcia beat a Malignaggi who had lost 2 of his last 3 fights. Big difference in the Malignaggi that AB fought and Garcia fought.
Valero's best win at 135 was a prime Antonio DeMarco and so was AB's....and AB did better against him. I can only compare them at similar weight.

Broner didn't fight Maidana at 135 and he was much better at 135 as well
Both would be by far the best each other had ever faced at Lightweight
