It’s pretty easy to see who wouldn’t work in the mcu. People that desire control. That first phase was them trying to make it work and realizing it wouldn’t. They slowly figured out what worked for them and the type of person that fit into it.

Star Wars is arguably going through the same thing right now. And DC as well.

Yeah most producer driven franchises are like that. Bond has been like that for years but for the first few decades it was basically a family thing. Anyone who became a director had a previous connection to the franchise. It wasn’t until Sam Mendes did they get an auteur to helm the movie. Now they’re doing the same with Danny Boyle

Nah they don’t have the rights to do one.

To his point tho if they wanted the rights they could get them. Universal isn’t doing shyt with them and I’m sure they’d love the same type of deal they have with Sony: marvel makes the movies Sony gets the money. Universal would love that what studio wouldn’t? But both Hulk movies basically made the same amount of money and neither set the world on fire. Seems to me they decided the juice isn’t worth the squeezing and just let shyt be as it is

These people don’t watch films like that outside of comic book movies.

He insulted the MCU,you already knew what the thread was gonna look like before you entered. Some of these posters would slap their own mother if they dared speak ill of their precious.
'Theses people' you should name some names.:mjlit:

There you go bringing logic and facts into an emotional illogical argument

DIdnt you know every single director and actor is just jealous of the mcu and are falling over themselves to be a part of it. You think just any studio can sign James Gunn or Peyton reed :usure:
James Gunn might be tough at this point but I know studios are falling over themselves to get into the Peyton reed business. He’s made such auteurist work and done so much for cinema :wow:

Nah real shyt tho Norton wanted a better script and didn’t get it. Man doesn’t have to be salty about it. He’s never been shy at saying how he feels about any work he’s done, for better or for worse. If anyone is shocked he has negative opinions about this movie or his experience, they haven’t been paying attention for the past 20 years :manny:

Oh these two getting their 'Men on Film', "We know more about movies than anyone in the Film Room" act on. Just as predictable as the people they claim to better than. :hhh:

People are just dismissing him as “salty” but he has a point. They gave him creative control and turned around and cut all the content he wrote.

He doesn't have a point, because it seems he is still upset because of how sucesful the Marvel films are,and how technically his movie is still considered part of the MCU.
Yet he got the bushes:francis:
But the thing is he got the bushes because he didn't just shut up and accept the shytty scripts like the rest of these Marvel stars have:mjlol:
Sometimes you get a shytty script, but eventually you will be apart of a great one.
Same thing happened with Wesley which is why he will probably never be in a Marvel film, due to his behavior on the final Blade.
Wesley at least bought alot to that Blade franchise, and built it up,this guy seems like he just crying.
Plus I don't even remember hating this movie, forgettable but not bad.

Marvel probably learned from his movie that making a great Hulk script is next to impossible,so since it can't be profitable as a franchise, use him as the great feature character that he is. Theres always that person that thinks if just those two scenes would've made it into the movie,it would have been a masterpiece:ohlawd:. Can't say I've ever seen that happen before, and it definitely would'nt start with the Hulk.

Nah they don’t have the rights to do one.
And yet the first got made. What changed? Why were they willing to make the first but not a sequel? It lost money that’s what changed.

Let me ask you this. If the Incredible Hulk had made a billion do you think their would not be a sequel right now?
