I actually liked The Incredible Hulk and preferred Norton over Ruffalo as Banner. I've never gotten the brilliant scientist vibe from Ruffalo but I did from Norton.

I wish Universal and Disney could work a deal and give us a Incredible Hulk 2.

The main takeaway from this thread is the fact that so many other people enjoyed this film. I thought I was alone.

Ed is a criminally underrated actor but he's also notorious for being a perfectionist, which equates to difficult to work alongside, so nothing new there. He's also been very vocal about his dissatisfaction with the film and how it was handled, see perfectionist and huge media entity changing the rules at halftime.

As for the better Hulk, eh I'm torn. I liked Ed's more assertive passionate take but if we're going by the source material, Banner has always been the unassuming, socially awkward genius whose work speaks louder than he ever could. Which is what drew the huge dichotomy in personality between him and Hulk. Gradually, he becomes more like Ed's interpretation, almost like Hulk rubbing off on him, but for the longest he was more like Ruffalo.

Wow I remember Ang Lee's Hulk. I was just a boy at the time and man I remember the turd that shyt was wow. terrible movie.

With that said I actually enjoyed Edward Norton's hulk movie. . I will say the guy playing the Hulk now is trash tho.

They wouldn't had to rely on comedy as much because he can actually sell the nerdy scientist role. You could get comedy from other people clowning him.
Mark Ruffalo strikes me as stoner who didn't graduate high school, very Keanu like in his delivery . So he has to be funny because you don't buy him as a genius intellect. A Mark Ruffalo Hulk movie would be like bill n teds excellent journey with the science. But that would still be a very entertaining movie.

The only thing I didn't like were the action sequences prior to the final one. Hulk going at tanks and regular soldiers/people is boring. But the world building was dope to me. The Leader is somewhere underground plotting. . . well unless he died in the snap.

I buy Ruffalo as a genius scientist. I also enjoyed the “tortured soul” aspect of Banner from The Avengers.
