Well, part of the problem is education. If you aren't educated, you are pretty much putting yourself behind the 8-ball after you finish high school. And then, there are those who drop out of high school. They are behind those who are behind the 8-ball.
Education is not the great equalizer, but if you get a college degree, you need to leverage it. You, the student, are taking a big risk if you major in history. Do you want to be a history teacher or professor or do you want to work in insurance sales? You can position yourself for success. Don't major in something that doesn't give you skills. Communication is risky, much like history majors. A very slim number actually get a successful career in radio, TV, or print media. Everyone else just gets washed out and take a career in a different direction than their major, like assistant manager at Forever 21 or something unrelated to anything you learned in college.
Rich folks, they can major in philosophy or English Literature and get a starting management job earning 6-figures and get trained on how to do the job in their daddy's company. Yeah, it's a different world if you are white and rich. If you are white and not rich, then I think you still have the same hurdles as everyone else.
Law, accounting, medicine, computer technology. Those position yourself to becoming successful or at least ahead of the 8-ball.

How many human beings can gain PhDs? :heh: let's be honest. Most humans are average skilled workers with interests outside of the workplace. Forcing the general population to STEM everything will create a lot more stress, and lower pay due to increased competition. The solution always been entrepreneurship

well first of all nobody should be forced into STEM, thats an awful idea, but people need to be exposed to STEM subjects in elementary and HS and that way those who have a knack for it and are curious about it can continue their education in the STEM field

there is no one solution, the solution is increasing levels of education and increasng participation in capitalism

For the people genuinely interested in STEM, let them rock. For the other people, better off doing something that they love in some kind of intellectual field and capitalize off of it.

No doubt. By any means man. Thanks for the advice.
it's a lot better to be subtle to infiltrate corporations and countries for our agenda. not everyone can whoop on people. and we don't want to get into the prison industrial complex database. :francis: once you get into that database it's back to slavery... :wow:
that's why when i whoop on people my bytch on stand by to call the police and lie :stopitslime:

the jews have done this perfectly well so that their agenda is america's agenda.
they got the infiltration down to the educational system and of course the media where they can keep on reminding us about the holocaust.

Fresno, CA.
The real problem(as far as education) is govt.'s handling of k-12.
Everything else is a product of white supremacy.

We need to focus on reforming what we have(public k-12) not increasing the reach of govt. into college in the hope that the results will be different.

I also think @Wild self hit the nail on the head. The answer is entrepreneurship.
Removing the yellow tape and simplifying the tax codes involved with starting a business would do a lot more IMO than simply paying tuition/college cost.

Black engineers employment numbers are relative to general population numbers. The "low" employment rate for black S.T.E.M. employees is because there aren't that many black people majoring in and graduating to S.T.E.M. fields to being with...even at HBCU's with engineering programs. Liberal arts majors are just no employable without some other form of education on top of it. Not really and apples-to-apples comparison.
No, the employment rate of recent black engineering graduates is not too far from white liberal arts majors. Second the idea that liberal arts majors are not employable without some other form of education is laughable. Relevant work experience and internships and connections and your school come more into play, but that's a gross exaggeration.

Negroes want the easy answer. There will be none forthcoming. :francis:

The hard things like self love, self defense, self sufficiency, self knowledge, self motivation.... those things work- but aren't the answers negroes want to hear.

We had this shyt figured out already after the Civil Rights era, then all the soldiers and panthers turned to pimps and drug addicts/had kids that all turned to rappers and gangbangers now here we are :yeshrug:

Almost on cue, that last message got flagged. LOL :mjlol::umad:

Unfortunately I speak from life experience and I'm black, so accusing me of racism won't stop me from sharing the truth with you.

Pull out the ban hammer if you like, as you can see by my post ratio I'm not addicted to this site.

Predictable.

We're probably about eight posts away from the obligatory blaming affirmative action and"What about black-on-black crime?" deflections.
So where are u hoping the discussion goes

Reparations :sas1:

Building generational wealth takes time, and generational weild yields advantages with a lot of leverage :yeshrug:

What do u suggest and how quickly do u see it working?

You guys really believe there are skilled, talented, intelligent black people out here starving? These companies can't fill jobs because this supposedly educated workforce(as a whole) is not skilled in the right ways. Anyone who thinks education hadn't been a stepping stone to wealth and prosperity for thousands of black families is an idiot.
Exactly. We arent on equal footing yet at all, but if people are suggesting that education isn't worth pursuing because of that theyre idiots. Im surprised by some of the responses from otherwise reasonable posters here. Education is by far still highly beneficial, even for black people.

Just thought this was an interesting article and something I've always said. Education is important but by itself it doesn't come close to eliminating the wealth gap.

Really isn't surprising at all; considering nowadays 'white collar' employment is heavily weighted for those who are well connected (personally or through university). It's not like during my parent's generation at all. Unfortunately, you have to be on it cause it isn't easy.
