Put it this way...Jim Brown passed the torch to Freddie.

As a pure rb, not many seeing Fred. He had it all before the injury, many of you forgetting about apparently. He tore his groin against the Titans. Let me correct that...HE TORE HIS GROIN FROM THE BONE!!!

That's how he got the name "Fragile Fred". Tom Coughlin kept listing him every week for like the year as a groin pull because he wanted to keep teams game planning for him. Totally fukked Fred over.

Those of you who had a groin pull imagine tearing it. I have and....:weirdo:...everything is finito after that. Our radio guy was the loudest one yelling fragile fred...until he pulled his groin on the golf field. He then loudly and publicly apologized to Fred.

Fred should have been the goat...if he had got lasik earlier. He couldn't catch cause he couldn't see lol.

My goat...

Edgerrin James led the NFL in rushing twice, wtf Taylor ever do ?

Did he catch passes?

Did he protect his QB by picking up the blitz?

Did he ever put up 2,000 yard seasons from scrimmage ?

Nope. Edge did that.

Fred Taylor with good health and playing with a QB like Payton may have been the all time leading rusher in history. Either one of them would be great choices though.

"To me, though, the truest measure of a back's greatness isn't total yards, but career yards per carry. Of all the backs in front of him on the all-time rushing list, only the great Jim Brown (5.2 yards per carry), Barry Sanders (5.0) and O.J. Simpson (4.7) have a better average than Taylor (4.6)."

That was has final year with the Jags.. That's 11 seasons deep though of better than 4.5 a carry.. Pretty sure it dropped when he was in New England but still..

Edge was still productive when he had Matt Leinhart as his QB.

he was mediocre as fukk in Zona. nikka had over 300 carries twice for barely over 1,000 yards.
