Edge forward lean was the GOAT. You had to go through his upper body in order to get to his legs, that's how much he ran with forward lean.

My Pop Warner ccoach (RIP) used to stress that to us at RB, "FOWARD LEAN!! FOWARD LEAN!!"
Eddie George got the GOAT forward lean don't get carried away now

If we talkin talent, it's really not close

Find me another back that's 6'1 235 runs a 4.35 and moves the way Fred did..

He played for the jags tho so he sucks and hes irrelevant just like jimmy smith and Toni Boselli :yeshrug:

naw tony only irrelevant cause he got hurt early.:manny:

real football heads know he might be a top 10 LT of all time....maybe even top 3 talent wise.

his highlights is shutting down bruce smith in that bill/jag playoff game I think.

Fred was sneaky explosive for a 225 lb back. Edge was real smart and shifty. I give the slight edge to Edge though (no pun), had he not torn his ACL, he'd be a top 5 of all time back. I got love for them both great players.

Overall, Edge has the better career stats. However, James has always played in an elite offensive system. With Manning, Harrison, Wayne, Clark and a great O-Line he always had plenty of running room. Fred Taylor played for the Jags who were pathetic most of his career. His QB for most of his career was the good not great Mark Brunell and the line in front of him was average other than Tony Boselli. Taylor also faced 8 man boxes consistently. I give the edge to Freddy.

:dahell:

HELL NO!! He ran too upright and got murdered often by Ray Lewis as a result.

He had no forward lean with his running style.

I don't think you even get what I'm talking about. Edge gave you all shoulder pads and upper body when tackling him. He ran behind his pads. Eddie ran upright.
What the hell are you talking about? :camby:
