I'm confused. Reading this article again it said Sony caught up in sales in 2012, yet it also says Xbox sold more units how is this even possible? Wouldn't Sony have had to sell more units than Xbox to catch up?

It's overall company fiscal health then breakdown by each division in the company. They do not go into the details of each product/service sold in these things. You'll see minor notes here and there for each division, but that's it. They MAY give you more detail in the presentations, but that's it.

The same report explains that the Gates Foundation pledged $880 million in April 2010 to create the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP), which is a heavy promoter of GMOs. GAFSP, of course, was responsible for providing $35 million in "aid" to earthquake-shattered Haiti to be used for implementing GMO agricultural systems and technologies.

Back in 2003, the Gates Foundation invested $25 million in "GM (genetically modified) research to develop vitamin and protein-enriched seeds for the world's poor," a move that many international charities and farmers groups vehemently opposed (http://healthfreedoms.org). And in 2008, the Gates Foundation awarded $26.8 million to Cornell University to research GM wheat, which is the next major food crop in the crosshairs of Monsanto's GM food crop pipeline (Global Small Farmers Denounce Gates Foundation Purchase of 500,000 Monsanto Stock Shares).

Who is console bashing
I'll explain it to you nice and slow. Sony... just got caught... lying about how many systems it sells.... and one of the tactics is by combining the numbers of ps2 & ps3 systems shipped as one total number.

Basically what is happening is sony stopped reporting systems sold once they wasn't selling as fast as they hoped
Then secretly along the way they just stopped even saying how many ps3's are being shipped (unknown info before) and instead started reporting numbers of ps2 and 3's as numbers shipped. To increase the overall numbers for stock purposes basically.
In the fanboy war scope of things, sony lied to make it seem like they sold more units than xbox. That way, there stock doesn't drop

Similar to what happened to Gamestop twice now when news of the ps4 and xbox 720 were to adopt a no used game policy as you can see here
