off-topic: matt hardy has to be the biggest dumbass in history for re-signing with the WWE after they let him go because he got cheated on. i knew the minute he signed back, that they were gonna exploit this scandal in hopes of finally getting edge over. its crazy cuz he was supposed to be christian cage before christian cage. the TNA deal was all but signed and they were gonna put him on TV immediately as there wasnt any no-compete clause in the way. man, what a mark.

I don't get what it is with this board with Edge. Like they could've easily fumbled it but when Edge FRIED Matt Hardy with that promo and then started the Rated R Superstar gimmick he clearly had next. I was 13 years old and not reading the dirtsheets at the time, so y'all not gonna sit here and tell me that shyt wasn't resonating

Edge wasn’t on the ascent to do shyt because he never got over enough on his own to be a main event guy.

The only reason his heel turn worked is because he did some real life scumbag shyt that people hated him for. Before that he was on another bum ass mediocre midcard run.

and those Raw episodes got big ratings because they stacked those cards like pay-per views, to make edge's title run look credible.
