It's been too long, he'd be trash now. Seen it before. Comedians try to come back after a long hiatus, get on stage making outdated references about shyt they never got to talk about years ago.

Eddie would probably get on stage and be like, Whatever happened to payphones? everybody gotta cell phone now, even my momma :ooh:.

He'd get around the right comedians and they'd work out how to make sure this isn't true.

And this isn't me saying other people would "write" for him (since people seem to have trouble knowing what comedians collaborating looks like), but it means they'd figure out all the angles he should be attacking his thoughts from in a way that wouldn't make them dated.

If he's still actually funny, which I'm sure he is, if he wanted to do it he'd come back and probably drop one of if not the best special in whatever year it dropped.

You guys are just letting nostalgia blind you to the fact that all comedians have a prime. Just like athletes. People eventually get used to your schitke and it's no longer as fresh and funny. Some age faster than others i'll give you that, any comedy from Jim Carrey these days is weed plate status entirely. Eddie might be able to put on an ok show, but he'll never be Delirious Eddie again.

Poster above said comedy is ageless, :mjlol: Watch The Steve Martin episode of comedians in cars getting coffee. He explains it perfectly why he no longer does standup.

He said this before...like a decade ago and nothing. Believe it when I see it...and I would indeed see it if it every happened. I just doubt it. 30 years is a looooooooooong as time. You look at him then and look at him now. He just seems so much more relaxed and content. That hunger and edge is clearly gone. nikka don't even laugh the same anymore :heh:.

You confirmed that you are stupid on stand-up comedy. Plus, you left out where he mentions he’ll have to do the clubs and practice before going on the big stage.

Him accepting his Mark Twain proves he still has it.
