Just caught it on the Spike website. Damn, I hope Marty Mar was just having an off day or got the cold. I know he's older now but he had that old man voice!!!!:sadbron:

The tribute was cool and its nice to see at least two other heavy hitters in Martin and Chris Rock show some love. There HAS to be a second one though, a roast at that. Though that could get really ugly real quick, lol!

Love the special. Eddie is Iconic. People can say what they will about all his flops, he's still the highest grossing comedian actor of all time. "Coming To America" remains the highest grossing movie ever with an all black cast. Both his comedy specials were Classics. His music career was weak but he did have a few hits. The point is Eddie took what Pryor and Cosby did to another level and changed the game. I don't care where his career is at now, Eddie will forever be a Legend to Comedy and definitely an Icon in the Black community for how far he took it. Great Special.

Sweet Jesus, a roast with Eddie Murphy, Martin, and Chris Rock would be epic. :whoo:

I didn't really feel this special too much to be honest. First of all Eddie didn't perform, then it was set up perfect for a roast but there was no roast. Eddie is one of the all time greats but they kissed his azz a little too much, some of the performers weren't funny, and what was up with the white bish? :what:

-all in all it was merely ok, nothing special :manny:

an Eddie Roast would suck, theres nothing u can really say about him besides the fact that some of his movies were garbage and that he might be a downlow brother

:yeshrug:
:rudy: what, that would be the best roast ever

I didn't expect to laugh at Sandler but he caught me off guard. He gave it a roast feel. Keenan was funny. Chris is Chris. Feel sorry for Charlie. Always be in his shadow.

Coming to America was classic. All Black cast? Wasn't comedian Louie Anderson in it? Also the white female comedian who Semi ask to have money wired to him?

Few observations I had after watching it.

- Eddie Murphy is actually is pretty good singer. He sounded good up there with Stevie.

- Kind of disappointed he had that white chick he met a couple weeks ago up there instead of his daughter who was in the crowd.

- Adam Sandler still gets nervous on stage but is fukking funny as hell.

- Eddie is possibly the funniest dude to ever live.
