Eddie is so frustrating to me. I just knew he was gone tell a couple jokes when he launched into the shyt about the show being like people singing Happy Birthday to you for 2 hours then he just pulled back and ended the show.
A part of me was hopin he'd at least do like a 3 minute bit to show that he still has it(and I know he does). It wouldn't have been hard to outdo most of his presenters besides maybe Rock cause alot of em were lookin

If he would've given us like 3 jokes, Eddie Murphy gettin back on stage and doin another concert movie would've been one of the most anticipated things in Hollywood.

He strikes me as a smart guy though.
He might not have it anymore. It'd be another Jordan in the Wizards moment. It's better to leave them wanting more rather than wondering WTF happened.

Strangely those duds madw him A LOT of money. I remember a few years back he was on the list of Hollywood top paid stars. I honestly didn't believe that myself and had an argument with a coworkers who then shut me down by showing some #'s.

this. Its clear that the guy is still extremely talented. He is naturally gifted in comedy and could likely be a successful performer into his old age if he choses. Hell, even Chris Rock admitted that Eddie Murphy is still the funniest dude alive right now. His observations were always funny and shyt they were essential in him being able to drop the classic stand routines like Delirious and Raw. Dellirious is literally the funniest thing I have ever watched. I remember nearly aspirating a piece of food the first time i watched it. Almost ended up in the ER that night...
