Yes he cares about how he is portrayed in the media bc if he had a bad image, he would not have anymore privileges that allows him the have his way.
And Im starting to believe Reed mentioned it so Brady can't wiggle his way out of it. By apologizing and reaching out, it shows that Brady's intent may have been malicious
