But fr I've been alive and old enough to see pretty much all the hip-hop beefs/battles and for all the ppl talking about its to gossipy go back and listen to the old battles. Rappers have always went there. Ed Lover needs to sit his extra old azz down and shut the fukk up

Same here, I never really listened to drake or Kendrick tbh, I enjoyed the back and forth and it made me go get good kid, maad city.

A lot of east coast cats need to be honest with their bias.

They got a strong hate against West Coast rappers not named Dre and Snoop. All the hating has been ridiculous, sounding like miserable old ladies

How many years did they complain about how soft rap has gotten. We get a major rap beef where both rappers get on the mic and battle and they still find something to bytch about.

If this battle was Young MA and Drake you wouldnt see these same east coast oldheads bytching like this

The problem with New York rap is there wasn’t no unity and a lot of selfishness.

The next generation was left to fend for themselves after the 90’s early 2000’s.

Exactly all these oldheads do is let Jadakiss and Fabolous and 50 be the only rappers to run the state for the past 25 years. They stuck in the past.

When there was talented NY rappers like Young MA they didnt even support them. West Coast sticks together more.

Its so many interviews of old school West Coast artists praising their own like Kendrick, Larry June, Mozzy.

Look how they were supporting Kendrick during this battle and seemed proud of him

Agreed. Battle was great. I loved watching the Youtube reaction videos on it. I hope Drake avoids any legal issues and we actually get a sequel to this battle in the future. Like next year.

Now all of these old nikkas mad because Kendrick bodied Drake. Why wasn't these OGs talking like this when Drake bodied Meek?

My guess is that Drake was such an earner these old heads was eating some type of way. Now that Kendrick exposed him and pretty made him toxic to fukk with they mad b/c its affecting their bread.
I notice it's all these East Coast heads (excluding Joe Budden of course) not giving Kendrick his props and if they do its begrudgingly.

Lyrically, this wasn’t Kendrick’s best work.

The problem with rap beef today are the fans who consume rap. They are fukking stupid. If you ever watch a reaction video, they hit pause every 10 seconds do break down what was said. Not knowing what certain words mean.

Nobody paid attention after a week when Royce and Lupe went at it. People judge shyt different.

It is what it is.

Not a single 1 of the top rated diss records over the last 3 decades has been the artists best lyrical work and never needed to be.
