idk if anyone else has mentioned it but "back in the day" the original rumor about the benjamins beat was that it was produced by and stolen from a dude Minnesota from the Bronx. the same guy who guest versed on Mos Def's "Grown Man Business" that rumor has been around forever and most likely has more truth behind it than this new Kanye rumor.

the timeline with kanye doesnt add up. kanye supposedly made beanie's The Truth beat in 96 though

I thought this was common knowledge along with the fact he was gonna get signed to columbia but shytted on JD when he didn't know his dad was the exec he was talking too

that all about the benjamins beat is wack ass shyt too, never understood what people saw in that beat and that shyt is not a classic, nobody bumps that shyt anywhere or at any time for any reason people really need to stop throwing that word around
Yo man I don't think The Booth or music in general is your forte. :scust: the shyt you be saying

"after that I wanna be compared to big, anyone big pun big L or notorious" Kanye on "the glory"

"I’m Big L, Notorious, Big Pun, Shawn Carter
Sean Combs and Connery all in one" - Sean on the good music cypher at the BET awards

"
Why every rapper named "Big" got bodied?/But every rapper named "Sean" got money?/"

- Sean on all of the lights remix

Idk if that whole song was written by Sean but he was first around ye during the grad era and I'm sure he helped with that line at least on the glory

I doubt Kanye made Benjis...he would've been in college then. But my favorite and only Madd Rapper track Ghetto is 100% , I don't even have to look that up and I'll stand by that one

If I remember correctly, for Lauryn, she was getting credit as writing and producing the entire album herself. With all of the praise it recieved, the real producers came forward like "hold up."

But I don't doubt Lauryn's pen game, so I do believe that she wrote most, if not the entire album. As for producing, ehhhh. But to say she can't produce is insane; she plays instruments so she can at least churn out some melodies to sing/rap over

Do you people that don't purchase physical, do you miss reading liner notes or don't care?
