If I'm not mistaken, Lauryn Hill credited the "ghost producers" on her album. It just wasn't represented in the booklet in a formal manner. They all got co-producer credit, but it was broken down the way wikipedia breaks down album credits. Symbols were used to represent co-producer and co-writing credits.

Lauryn Hill was official because she wrote and produced these songs:

It's not likely that Kanye ghost produced "All About The Benjamins" because he wasn't even under D-Dot at the time.

People's timeline is way off. KanYe was still in Chicago during the time Benji's was made. He was mentored by No ID first then he started messing with JD that's why he had beats on "Live in 1492" and "Harlem World". Around 98-99 was when D.Dot took him under his wing and was letting Ye produce but he was giving him "Co-Producing" credit, Ye's beef was he wanted full credit so the "Ghost-producing" thing is overblown. "Poppa was a Playa" was Kanye for sure that was the main beat he was pissed about. I laugh cause fans till this day don't know Ye was working with NaS long before he even met Jay Z.

A lot of Ye's eariler Beats D.Dot got the main credit but again he was giving Ye "Co-Producer" credit like "Just you and I" by Mademen or "Rebuliding" by Goodie Mob. But LOL @ Ye being anywhere near the Hitmen during the Bad Boy Biggie Days. Also KanYe wishes he had a bassline that good as D.Dot cause his baselines weren't hitting like that. Ye owes a lot to D.Dot. D Dot let Ye produce 7 songs on "The Mad Rapper" album including a song with a Young Eminem before people even knew who KanYe was. This is sitll one of my Fav D Dot/Ye tracks:

Here's his Harlem World Track:

Here's Ye's Eminem beat before he blew up:

.

Thank You! Ebro need to get his facts straight before spreading misinformation.

Incorrect. I think you mean Consequence, which is pretty obvious from the opening line "cutie the bomb/met her at a beauty salon/with a baby Louis Vuitton under her underarm"
If you listen to Consequence thats his cadence, writing style and flow down to a tee. Maybe Rhymefest wrote parts of the second or third verse, but that first verse is 100% Cons.
Rhymefest Wrote Jesus Walks.

that's true, i remember a big ass article in XXL about it they interviewed the people who actually produced it. i have no idea who it was tho

I had that issue.. I remember the jerry wonder piece with him saying Lauren had all this vinyl but couldn't loop a sample at all...

No because that's not how professionals act. If you agree to ghostwrite or ghost producer something, you keep your mouth shut out of professionalism and respect.

The Same Professional That Said He Ghost Produced For D Dot On Various Tracks? He Even Name Dropped. Are You Not Familiar With Kanyes Music?

well this is entirely possible as kanye was mentored by d-dot back in the day :yeshrug:

plus he would have only been like 19 back when this was produced, it wouldn't shock me.

yeah, ain't nothin' surprisin here at all. all of these guys from d dot to dr. dre get help in some form or fashion. shyt, truthfully, i'm sure 4th disciple and true master helped rza out and didn't get credit where they probably should have :yeshrug:

ain't nobody doin' everythin' by themselves in the studio. i don't care who it is
