The only reason Dallas is not down 20 right now is because Boston is cold from the 3 point line. Boston is getting straight line drives to hoop with zero ball pressure or resistance. Dallas needs to play defense and that can generate offense for them.

I’m not disagreeing. What I’m saying is Boston is pushing the ball off Dallas misses (which are coming from stagnant possessions, so Boston is ready to set up their own offence in transition). As we see Dallas making more shots their D improves because Boston has to beat a set defence where Dallas has their guys matched up how they want them.
