I don't know too many folks who get sick and their income stops, most folks have PTO, sick leave etc, and most folks are not sick that long but if that's the case, I'm wrong, let's go with that notion. No woman or should I say, the majority of women under 35 will NOT pay 100% of the bills for a year or longer and take care of their husband/bf and do it with a smile in 2024

Idk what's going on itt, but even without a job, I helped my man through a very rough patch. I got the food budget down from a few hundred dollars/ wk to under $100/ wk. If I had been working, I would have done more, but his savings held us down.

I commend you for sticking it out but you're an outlier, your anecdotal experience doesn't change the facts. Most women are gone when they have to carry a man/financial load for any extended period of time. They're not built that way. The number 1 reason for divorce is financial reasons and women are filing almost 80 percent of the time

Most folks don’t - no in America. You are of the small privileged crowd to have a job with sick leave and paid disability to cover a multi month - year long sickness. I suggest you read up on the topic of paid leave in this country


What women spout on the internet and what’s reality are two different things. Most women pay plenty of bills, the US is not compatible with a single income unless you’re making $200k+ in “cheap” places and 400-500k+ in HCOL areas - census figures let us know that’s not true


Most people date and marry without their socioeconomic bracket, so Walmart cashier X can holler all she wants about wanting a six figure man, but unless she finds a six figure trade dude, she’s likely dating maintenance guy Y who makes within 10k of her


Lastly, many married women would gladly cover bills while dealing with an ill husband. You think most married women are going to walk away from their husband because he has cancer and now she gotta pay most the mortgage?
