last year.. the best defensive squad was so majorly flawed.. it was good for certain team but bad for at least half the team in the league..
this time.. They have several rotations..

TT can even be moved at the 4, land still have a shot blocker at the 5...
and maybe even ante zizic might show signs...

this time they have youth as well.. so its much better than....old ass birdman...who was better than nothing.

I.T. is limited on the defensive end because of his size, and there's concerns over his long-term health

The only additions that can potentially contribute defensively are Crowder and Green (who isn't a notable defender), and again who knows how much playing time both of them will get to make an impact. They'll probably end up having one of, if not the worst defensive backcourt in the league, and without a strong defensive frontcourt to offset it there isn't much hope for them having a better defense this season.

And people are really overrating him as a defender. He's obviously good but he's not this elite stopper some people are hyping him up to be.

folks in here talking about still cant beat golden state there is no line up in nba history who can match golden state so stop.. this is why u play u never know who going to be hot or not

i can name plenty of lineups throughout NBA history that can match GS lineup but this is about now. Had blake griffin gone to okc along with melo now i would put OKC almost at GS level.

All this means is he's not as good of a shooter as he or you think. Floor spacing doesn't matter if your shoot 34% from 3 and that's all you do.

IT wasn't even a full time starter until the past 2 seasons. He was getting buckets off the bench in Sacramento. He actually led the Suns in scoring while coming off the bench. Even when he first came over the the Celtics, he was leading them in scoring off the bench.

Rose proved he can still score the ball last year
Wade can still score from mid range

and they are the bench so you just need them to out play the other teams bench which won't be that hard

yeah.. if calderon, frye, jefferson has to play tons of minutes.. than yeah... but.. we know they want to get rid of 2 of those 3 guys...

the third will be bench ridden very quickly.

so this leaves I.T, Rose, Wade and Korver... LBJ ..LBJ will play better defense once hsi minutes are reduce to 30-33 a night.
now the chances of

IT, ROSE,WADE, Kover and LBJ being on the floor at the same time...when they need DEFENSE.i dont think this will happen that very often..

and.. they might be a year old in age.. but only months since the last post season...cant expect a STEEP decline over the summer.. it usually occur during the calendar year as the season takes a toll on those who cant handle a full season anymore.
