The rock is the biggest action star in hollywood that is gonna get top billing in anything he touches. He sells movies.

The Rock gets like 20 million a movie. If his star power grew from what it was from F4 to F7 i would expect that they would have to make it interesting enough for him to stick around and not play second fiddle.

He didn't come back for 2Fast 2Furious because he kinda got the big head from what I remember. After Chronicles of Riddikk bombed and he had a few other duds he had to come back to Fast and Furious.
