I grew up there so the tie is sentimental first and foremost. I just love my city and it's character....good and bad. It's country, it's city, it's metropolitan, but at the same time it's not. It's so big that each side has it's different character and you don't have to leave the city to get something different if you want. Black folks making me do this ...,then I hop on 95 south, I'm on the south side, I'm headed to the beach. Artsy? Five points...Riverside. Art Walk is what's poppin now. Then you know we got the Jags, but we get great college football games too. Saturday's we get the crab pot going....it's just home! It's not better than any other place, and I can see how folks who aren't from here don't like it, but it's just Duval...it's got it's own feel

first i feel sorry that u grew up there... Second... yea art walk is cool right now but its the same dam ppl every time ... When something gets hot u start seeing the same ppl.. sh1t gets depressing

sounds like you need a better quality of folks to hang with...even the "hood" folks i do hang with there balance out the stuckk up ones there...they all matching and they all have a gang of broads come thru when the kid in town

It aint about black folks not having anything progressive to do.. its about the generations of ignorance that has been passed on.. the only people with brains are the military ppl that stay in orange park.. i feel sorry for anyone that was raised in duval county.. u got more pregant girls than ive ever seen.. sh1t is a wasteland. Cool. No harm, no foul, although I now know if I ever met you and just told you where I'm from what you would automatically think of me...lol.

I was heavy on sohh from waaaaay back, or like we say in Jacksonville, "bike". Then like everybody else I stopped posting, came back and saw the virtual tumbleweed blowing across the site. I went into the Coliseum and asked where the hell everyone was at and someone put me up on this site.
