Duval brehs. I have a potential part time job opportunity. I am leaving Duval at the end of them month. Heading back to Pittsburgh.

I started working part time for this company in 08. This is what the job entails. The company is Sports technology company. They work with all of the major sports and most of the minor sports. They run scoring programs, work with broadcasters, create sports bugs, etc. They work with everyone. NHL, NBA, NFL, PGA, Tennis, Crossfit, Olympics and more.

The part time job I worked at was the NBA/NHL Helpdesk. My job was very easy. They have tv's set up and computers. All I do is watch the games on tv and cycle through the sports websites ( nhl.com, nba, com, espn, yahoo, tsn ) and make sure the score and time are updating correctly. 99% of the time they are. When you do find a discrepancy all you do is turn around and tell one of the helpdesk techs and they will call the arena and fix the issue. You do not even have to troubleshoot anything.

I used this job as simply a part time hustle for 6 years. It was perfect because I work my 9-5 then go there around 630 and work till the last west coast game is over. Which can be around 1-130 at the latest. But its not really work. Your sitting there watching tv. And this is 3-4 days a week. Which will probably include at least one weekend day. Maybe both.

After 6 years I left my primary job and was looking for something else. My boss at the part time job asked me to become a fulltime Help Desk Tech. This is with me having zero IT experience. ( I work in digital marketing ) They trained me and before I knew it they were flying me to different arenas helping set up. Flew me to help train D-League teams on the scoring systems. Flew me to Vegas to work the Summer League games. Sent me to work the NHL Draft. I did it for three years. My old job called me and asked me to come back with a considerable raise. I left and went back to my part time gig at this job.

They ended up losing the NBA Helpdesk contract to another company after holding it for over 25 years. But they still have the NHL Helpdesk contract. So they still need monitors to watch hockey games. It is generally 3 -4 days a week. Includes weekends and nights. It is purely a part time hustle that is nice and easy. But if you are IT or hustle minded you can easily move around the company. They are a small company. Almost everybody I started working with there in 08 is still with the company. They value relationships. So if you want to use it as extra cash good. If you want to parlay it into a IT gig with a sports media company you can easily do it.

My buddy who started there as a tech in 2010 ended up creating lasting relationships with a bunch of the NBA IT people. When the company lost the NBA Contract he quit and became a IT consultant directly for the NBA. Started his own company. He is not the best IT guy I know but he crafted those relationships and made his move and it worked.

I wrote alot because anybody who hits me up about this I want them to be sure of what it is going in. And its my name on the line. But we have been through so much shyt as a people the least I can do is pay it forward.

If you work a 9-5 and do not mind working nights a few days a week and need extra cash for the holidays and you are in Duval and are reliable I can see what I can do. Like I said this job is for the NHL Helpdesk. You only work during the NHL Season. So you are off during the summer. Because of Covid the NHL season is starting in Jan so that is when you would start.

I cannot guarantee a job of course. But I do have a lot of leeway with my recommendations. They will consider it heavily.

I’m sitting here at Coggin Ford on Atlantic. I’m in the customer lounge. My truck is getting a oil change.

It’s a pretty big lounge and there is a flat screen blasting CNN. Naturally they are just ethering the fukk out of Trump. I noticed a old white lady because she was literally shaking. Like in a rage she was :fire:

Then she blurts out loud as hell.

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASSEEE CHANGE THE CHANNEL?!:why::why::why::mindblown:

She looked so frustrated and fed up.:mjlol: She literally could not stand it anymore.

She was just walking around in a circle like CNN was driving her crazy. Then she saw me and asked if I knew where the remote was:ld:

I was grinning behind my mask :lolbron:because I knew exactly where the remote was. It was by the coffee machine. I saw it when I grabbed a cup.

Told her nope:yeshrug:.

:russ: You’re about a couple of miles away from my crib. I hadn’t noticed too many Trump signs over in this neck of the woods yet, although I got my car repaired at Caliber Collision on Atlantic and some dusty old white bytch who worked there had a Trump sign in her office.

They’re definitely a lot bolder with it than they were in 2016. Definitely see more signs and bumper stickers now.

A couple of months ago I moved back to this side. I used to live in Baymeadows/San Jose area and whenever I go back that way there’s quite a few Trump signs that popped up just in the last couple if months, especially if you drive down Hood Rd. in that area.

There’s this huge ass Trump sign that popped up on Phillips in front of that Lowe’s.
