dog.. at first, i thought u meant the Kozy Korner right there on 9th & Myrtle.. that was the spot growing up.. that, and the Flint store on 13th & Moncrief..Has anyone ever heard of "People's Pharmacy" off of Myrtle?
dog.. that spot was the sh!t.. i came back to visit on year, and I had never seen nothing like that in the Ville.. theres still some late night spots.. Im up in NC, but I'll hit my folks up back home and ask whats cracking..nikka You my dig for life. I think you talking bout the E Club. that shyt was kind of underground
maaaaan.. it was this one spot.. right there off Beach, about a mile past Southside if you going east.. i wanna say the name of the road is Bear.. All-American on the right side.. anyways.. there was a after hour spot back there a few years ago.. i'm being dead serious, damn near every stripper in Jax would be in there after hours.. it was BYOB, and $10 to get in.. some Russian dudes owned it.. they also had one right there off Powers and University.. same Russian cats that own Plush and Rain..
please point to where I said they never played there..?
its the same place it is today, as its always been.. that was my point.. hell.. i saw Dres from Black Sheep play at some country ass bar out Southside.. that don't make the spot a hip-hop venue..
and for the record- I grew up with Willie, AB and all them cats.. I still got a huge collection of his College Radio mixtapes.. all them cats played alot at Fuel, and smaller venues like 17 South, Rock & Roll Pizza, MotoLounge, and places like that..

fa real...everybody in here reppin and bruh bashin everything bout duval left n right....everybody in DUVAL know how DUVAL is....everybody know that everybody act damn near the same, talk the same, go to the same clubs, hate, but if bru complainin about gettin shot at and Tried when u go out its prolly cse they saw him as an easy LICK play n simple
And the thing with Duval clubs, clubs in general, but I've seen it really with the hometown is that no club has staying power.
Nah b... It wasnt caz i was a target... Me and the homies went to club iconz on a Hood night.and we was pullin all the bytches caz we was new and as u kno everybody be the same everyweek so the hoes was feelin us... After we got outside... why would I be salty about Raines, when I went Ribault..?I'm not about to argue over what I know to be true. I know they played at fuel. They played a lot at TSI too. And we're saying the same names, so we obviously know the same stuff.
No need to go back and forth about it. I think you're just a little salty I asked you about Raines.
I used to go to that barbershop, when it was on Myrtle across from the old Church's.. probly different owners by now..No Im talking the corner of 8th and myrtle across from the playground..next door to the barbershop and used to be a record store next the barber's back in the day..

no need to go back & forth.. TSI was never a hip-hop venue.. have they had shows there- yes.. see how easy that is..?

I think I probably know who you are...lol...not specifically, but if you told me I think I would know. The Internet anonymity is cool though. Not trying to find out.
TSI was a club that had a lot of hip hop shows which provided an alternative to the other venues. Fair enough?
