Saw a few theories in who/what flimmels character could be

Not sure how close their sticking to established dune mythos but this may be the start of / ground work what we will see as coming in dune 3. The focus on his eyes during the kid dying scene is a clue to book readers.

If this is when benne geserit starts than other groups like navigators, face dancers, mentats, etc will most likely begin to emerge as well in pieces. Also the kids father who was giving ships to emperor was in competition with that said group who eventually become players in future dune novels. The allusion to “my father says we are far to strict on this” is another clue that certain civilizations are not following the rules so iykyk i dont feel like potentionally spoiling.

Tho this could all lead to even dune future novels as well even tho were in past. There seems to he an ai presence in it still. Im not too well versed on the whole saga but i wouldnt doubt it.

Fantastic 1st episode, was movng a bit off from what I knew it could deliver you in 1st half.

I only have the 80s Dune movie to go off of and I don't have any real memories of that. One of my co-workers when they found out I hadn't watched the newest Dune movies, suggested to just wait to watch those now that this series was starting. So for a person with no real idea of what to expect I found this a mostly enjoyable first episode. One of the review guys I follow on Youtube, I knew he was going to shyt all over it before it even started. My Co-worker who is familiar with everything didn't hate it, but also didn't love it. So I think I'm in to watch it through and will be curious of how it lands with me versus people who are really familiar with the world (movies and books).

Also "Dorotea" ain't no way you can trot out a Lilly white bytch with that name lol
