‘Dune’ Adaptation Will Be ‘Star Wars for Adults’ Says Director

The fact that he thinks Dune in terms of fukking Star Wars, and not Dune a Sci-Fi entity that needs no reference and stands alone, tells you all you need to.
This will be a beautiful, but terriblly boring movie that misses the point and fails because it has a director that hates movies based on sensible characters.

The only major movie he has made that I have been able to sit through and be entertained was Prisoners, but never wanted to watch it after the first viewing, but it wasn't terrible.

Arrival, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049 are terrible movies, imho.
I don't understand all the praise he gets for these movies, but taste is subjective.

Sicario might have been dumber than arrival.
There is no way the FBI agent would have even progressed as far as she did being so naive.
Just one of those weirdo white movies like Crash to me, that said, the stupidity of the characters could have been overlooked if they had more action, but it didn't even go the action route, it wanted to be a smart thriller, but failed because it was built on stupid to the point of unrealistic charcters. Reminds me a bit of that terrible movie from Ridley Scott The Counselor, too full of stupid unrealistic characters to be a smart realistic thriller.

This man just said Arrival Blade runner and Sicario are bad movies.

Like I said I hate fake ass wanna critics. Would love to know what movies you consider good then.

Well I guess if u wanna nitpick the movie to death it'll be what u want it to be. I liked the flick, has it's flaws but I like it's style and del Toro was dope af.

Just not my type of movie, I know everyone has different tastes and opinions.
