lol herrera outworked him and had higher connect percentage overall. your boy garcia looked mad sloppy and frustrated. he lost.

thats why he been fighting bums ever since

Even though I agree with you that Hererra beat Garcia, only the official scorecards matter or else Floyd would have at least 1 loss already. Swift got the W, Herrera didnt do enough to remove the belt from off the Champion in his "home island" even though it was open scoring and him and his corner KNEW they were losing the fight in advance:manny:

As far as fighting bums ever since, Swift has only fought once since fighting Herrera, so we cant really say he's been fighting bums. He fought Rod Salka and is now about to fight Lamont Peterson at Welterweight in his next fight. Danny already beat Matthysse, so it's only right he finishes off Peterson as well to cover all bases before officially moving up to the full Welterweight limit:yeshrug:

LOL at BUM ass Peterson beating Danny.

Danny is basically the fighter Peterson wished he was. Danny will knock that nikka's head off with a sweet counter left hook. :blessed:

Just dont put him in the ring with PAC:mjcry:

Peterson's only chance is to try and stay away from Danny and box him from the outside. Unfortunately for him, like @ChocolateGiddyUp said, Peterson likes to fight on the inside and even attempt to exchange with people....and that will be his undoing if he attempts that with Garcia imo:wow:

Peterson's best bet is to go right at Danny. Last time Lamont tried to box a puncher (Lucas) he got soul clapped around the ring.

Peterson ain't some type of fleet footed boxer. Dude is a pressure fighter plain and simple. Do what you do best. No sense in trying to turn this nikka into Algieri in order to face Swift cuz he ain';t built like that.

Chino must be running out of Crab Meats...he really wants that Swift Stimulus

Marcos "Chino" Maidana's adviser Sebastian Contursi has advised BoxingScene.com that his fighter is targeting a late summer return to the ring.

Maidana had a busy stretch, facing Adrien Broner and Floyd Mayweather twice in less than a year's time and is currently taking a break from the ring.

"Marcos had a very busy 9 month stretch with three big fights so he's taking a well deserved rest. He's going to marry his girlfriend in April and we are looking at him returning in August or September," Contursi stated.

As far as potential opponents, Contursi said there aren't any definite plans but revealed one name that interests Maidana.

"The only name that Marcos has mentioned is Danny Garcia. That is a fight he really wants and I think it would be a very good fight," Contursi told BoxingScene.com. "Being that Garcia beat (Lucas) Matthysse it would be looked at in Argentina as a revenge fight even though it really isn't."

Garcia returns on April 11th and will face Lamont Peterson at a catchweight of 143 pounds. Garcia's most recent fight was also at a catchweight so a move to welterweight where Maidana campaigns will likely take place in the near future.

Both fighters are aligned with powerful adviser Al Haymon which makes the potential fight a more likely possibility.

But boxing shouldn't be viewed in that black & white way, because there's so many shades of grey. I don't think every W and every L should weigh the same. That's why Roberto Duran gets a lot of credit for a close loss to Hagler, and Tim Bradley gets no credit from me for his supposed W over Pac.

Danny got the W, but that fight will count against him more than it will for him, especially since he's not giving Herrera a rematch. He's hiding behind the decision instead of fighting again and beating Herrera clearly. Herrera did enough to make many boxing fans question Danny's skill level and make Haymon play it safe with him before moving him up.

Peterson doesn't have the power nor the chin to bang with Swift. He tries to go right at Danny, and he'll be laying flat on his back

It's better to be in close with Danny to smother his power/push him backwards than to be on the outside getting clipped with counters. Peterson doesn't have the skills to outbox Danny on the outside. He failed at that shyt against a lesser fighter than Danny when he got thrashed by Lucas.

Better to fail by doing what your good at than to fail doing something you aren't good at.

As far as going right at Danny, I don't mean just going recklessly into him. Just use double/triple jabs body shots, ring cut offs, etc.. you know general pressuring tactics that Peterson is already capable of doing.

Just my opinion though.
