He was definitely getting over in WCW when he was building steam as the new Wrath. Dude was undefeated, had "the look", and could do it all as a big dude. Had the same athleticism as Sheamus with a more dark, dynamic bad-ass look. Nash booked himself to kill his streak and momentum on his way to Goldberg at Starrcade. I'd take Wrath with the Ryback gimmick right now over Skip, to be honest.

Konan would probably get over in almost any era. His style and mannerisms and personality just work well in wrestling. Hell; his over the top faux blood gangster persona got him over with fans but he didn't really need to do that.
Right now I could see him on Sheamus status in WWE pecking order but with more legit title runs. Somewhere between Rey's peak and ADR's current status.
@ 4:17. Actually just listening to him cut promos is worth watching alone
