Debauchery, demonic, dirty, arrogant etc, sounds like Dubai got alot of americans real salty. The "washing of dirty laundry" is no different from what goes on in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, probably just as dirty in the East as the West. No doubt its eerie, but seems they just want to fit in, they want that Hollywood tourism, but just because it isnt in the west or american its gonna get hate.
