its just so decadent; so arrogant..a bunch of billionaires flaunting their wealth. that's what I see when i look at hotspots like dubai. like one of the dudes here said its practically begging for some type of disaster, challenging 'god' or whatever like babylon did in its day

The "washing of dirty laundry" is no different from what goes on in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, probably just as dirty in the East as the West. i'm not really salty. dubai has an amazing skyline...real 21st century design & architecture..but something about dubai just rubs me the wrong way. creeps me out in the worst way

Been there a few times, might be going there again.

Anyhow, Dubai reminds me of this one old timey fisherman/sailor ghost story: A ghost story about how a beautiful woman shows herself to men of the sea (particularly at the shore) and entices them and once she entices them, she shows her true demonic form and brings them to their death.

That is what Dubai reminds me of.
