Benzino has pretty deep street connections, he's also got joints with artists like Bumpy Knuckles, P Diddy, Jadakiss, Mobb Deep. 2 Pac, Scarface, Lil Jon, Raekwon, Ja Rule, Rick Ross, Lil Kim, Wyclef, Daz, The Outlawz, Bobby Brown, Cormega, Foxy Brown, Snoop Dogg and many more.
May I ask , do you really think his so call “street connections in Boston” got him this or was it his connection to Source Magazine ?

I didnt watch that video but I know the story... dude scrapped the song and threw it out and 2pac said what are you doing!? and got the paper out of the garbage and rapped it. I dont know the personal info behind it or afterwards, but I do know he threw it out and didnt want to use it and Pac grabbed it. It would be interesting to know if Pac did it to show him if it was good, or if they ever talked about having him re-record it, or even how it ended up that big without knowledge that the other dude chucked it.
That's the only song. Don't know why dude saying he wrote that AND other sings for Pac. He threw the shyt away and Pac asked could he record it cuz he thought it was dope. Little known fact is, he didn't pen all 3 verses.

The original lineup of the Fugees were 4 people.
Pras, Wyclef, Lauryn Hill, and Marcey Harriel.
Harriel quit the group and the rest is history.
Harriel had an ok career as a Broadway actress, but it wasn't anywhere close to the Fugees level of success.

I remember reading about this. I could be wrong but I think the group was initially two girls and one guy, then Marcey left, and the other guy joined.

Miss Jones (singer/radio personality) and Big Pun were BFFs. She claims she gets royalty checks from one of his albums because of their friendship.

Yup it was originally Pras, Marcey, Lauryn Hill.
Wyclef joined while Marcey was still in the lineup, but she quit shortly after he joined.

Memphis Bleek and Juelz Santana had a song together before Juelz even met Cam'ron

Tru Life has a song on Flipsquad All-Stars Volume 1 Mixtape from 1998. He was in the group called "Ghetto Inmates" and the song was called "Only Time You Love Em"

Rah Digga used to be in a group called Twice The Flavor and was signed to Das Efx in 1993. Das Efx reference her in an interview with MTV they did that same year

K-Solo dissed DMX on the single "Can't Hold It Back" in 1992, years before anyone knew who X was in the mainstream. On an episode of Yo! MTV Raps, Ed Lover makes a reference to his issue with DMX over Spellbound in 1992, without mentioning X by name.

Both Papoose and Foxy Brown were in Smoothe Da Hustler's clique in 1995 before they went on to sign their solo deals later on. Smooth ghostwrote Foxy's "Ain't No nikka" verse.
