Lady B. of WDAS power 99 philly hosted a weekend mix show which also featured a live in the studio "battle" between various mcees of Philadelphia on a weekly basis, one particular show featured a young Will Smith bka "Fresh Prince" battling a philly mc by name of "Steady B." with an up and coming turntablist named DJ Cash Money on the wheels of steel providing the beats .... Fresh Prince ANNHILIATED Steady B. live over the air.....

i'm trying to get back in touch with one of my ole school mates who was a philly native and "cassette freak" (collector of vintage tapes) to see if he got this recording somewhere...but it's NOT an urban legend....this actually happen...Will Smith spoke on it a few years back
