Sayin the ATS is shaped up perfectly for them to make it better than an M3, the engine choices, suspension, lightweight frame shyts gonna be nasty b. They would be fine with the twin turbo 6 in the cts vsport, if they use that vette v8 its a wrap on that m3 shyt.
With the chassis shyt I wouldnt say its modeled after the e46 but modeled to be better than it, they had their own team design it from the bottom up just always with the intention of besting the e46.

That's a ATS-V comparison. You said the ATS was already shytting on the m3 without a V model..which isn't true today, maybe when the V comes out it will be but there's also an M4 on the way.

The e46 chasis was definitely used as a reference point. Meaning they used what made it great while at the same time worked to improve it. I can't find a reputable review that doesn't compare it to the e46, there's a reason for that. To suggest that they engineered a completely new chassis from the ground up that just happened to have the same weight benchmarks and suspension queues is ridiculous. They used the e46 as a reference point. Again I'm not knocking them , but let's call it what it is

The same source you used to say the V will be better than the M3 are the same guys that say the E46 was used as a benchmark

Thread starter so happy he can drive a stick. Wooptee fukkin do. They are great, but they are also a pain in the fukkin ass after a while, and don't even perform better than the new dual clutch auto's so many manufacturers are switching to. Dual clutches get off the line faster, and are more fuel efficient. You love Euros so much, even Porsche opted for the dual clutch in the new 911 GT2. Why cause it's much better performance dumb ass. You in love with old ass tech that companies are abonding lol.. F1 left stick shifts in the early 90's lmao. Manuals are overrated as hell.

the e class interior looks like a fukking office, if you like that and your a fan of that style then :manny:

lexus deserves a mention though. Their new models have amazing interiors
I concur, the E interior has that luxury feel to it imo but I prefer more sporty interiors.

And I love Lexus interior except for their center console I can't get with that mouse controller they give you

Couple things n this thread I'd like to address:
1. Due to advances in technology automatic cars can now shift faster and be more efficient than manuals and they take out the factor of human error.
2. Whomever said Cadillacs are designed to just go fast, Cadillac pioneered magnetorheological dampers as far back as 1998, which were then adopted by Ferrari. They allow the car to have a soft ride when wanted and a stiff rigid ride when needed. By the way the technology was also copied by Audi in the R8 and TT.
3. German cars have long been known for being unreliable and expensive to repair, some may say that its worth it but they don't offer anything in terms of styling, performance, or luxury that can't be attained from purchasing a car elsewhere. Some examples being the Cadillac ATS which is already shyttin on the M3 and they haven't even made the V version yet, the Hyundai Equus, Infiniti M56, or Lexus LS460
4. Also lets not pretend that General Motors hasn't repeatedly embarrassed these shytty overpriced German cars on the Nurburgring despite it being in Germany.

Even the new toyota camry's have paddle shifters. 2 weeks ago I had a rental for a week and was pretty impressed. Drove from vegas to SD with 4 other heads and a packed trunk. Was hitting 120 like it was nothing
