trap music is about the damn TRAP so why the hell nikkas tryna bring it into gang music discussions :what: talmbout "trap(drug) music is a watered down verion of drill(gang) music" :snoop:

if they never called this shyt "drill music" and just left it with gangsta rap you nikkas wouldn't have anything to even talk about cuz that's all it really is at the end of the day :pachaha:

Gangsta rap>>>>>

Drill music bout as ground breaking as hyphy. It will be hot for a sec then left behind. Mainstream already forgot about em

Hyphy is ground breaking,it's a high energy hip-hop music with major pop potential, it died with Mac Dre . . everything after that was poorly fabricated and overlysaturated

OG west side music is about as grimey as gets. This is drill music before it was even called "drill music'

snypaz pioneered what would be called smoke and ride.

plus were actually emcees, and adept at song making.
to the point, the entire westside moved off of their wave, alone...
drill is different as the artist are not emcees and don't give two shyt's about culture.
I am fine with that, too.

yet, if they want to learn,...
I am down to teach and show the culture to them, too.

that trap shyt aint gang related music & most of them nikkas that rap wasnt street nikkas like waka

And prodigy was a punk ass nikka that got treated 1 too many times..dude wasnt no real grimey nikka..he just hung around them nikkas..

prodigy was the dude with his actual robbery and stickup hustle the most put together, out of the mobb, breh.
go read his book...
he was already sitting on racks and rides from robberies before he had a deal.

all that mac in the engine shyt, is true...
also,...mobb deep gave out way more viscious L's than the three times prodigy got snuffed, breh.

mobb deep changed a bunch of nikkaz and actual rap groups from that era.
to the point,...mobb deep is that rap group they talked about in the negative connotation.
the industry did not used to name...
that was responsible for mass amounts of fukkery...

prodigy was bout it, breh....

his moves is how mobb deep, became mobb deep.
havoc would not even produce, if it wasn't for him.
nor, would havoc have gotten on.
prodigy was always doing shyt, breh.

yea the quality of music is wack but the shyt these kids be talking about is RECKLESS. :damn:

nikkas be taunting the dead a week after the shooting. I heard this nikka rondonumbernine spit a verse, something about "shondale how them hot shyts feel" nikka said his govt name AND asked the dead how them bullets feel all in one line. :wow:

another nikka was like "jmoney you gon die today hahaha" nikka got killed 3 weeks later. :wow:
unlike the old days, with the age of information shyts poppin off in realtime. with the lack of leadership and organization its just rampant and wild. there's no comparing. its far FAR worse now.

people be like oh they kids, well yea if you know anything about the hood, you'd know the younger the more reckless and dangerous. adults are about money and grinding, kids dont know the value of money, they think everything is a fukking game, they have no direction. to these kids, this is like painball.

:wow:

its different from that gangsta rap by dudes thats wasn't wit the shyt or didn't start doing street shyt/going to jail/shooting nikkas until they started rappin ass nikkas from the gangsta rap era of the 90's, these young nikkas thats making this music really out in them streets on grimey shyt..they out there making songs continuously dissing dead opps that died in the field :wow:..and im not just talking about jojo either..

and the overall content isn't like trap either, only the dumb is intrigued by the drum, which is why most people get it confused with trap..but no, them down south cats is way more laid back, and they can only mimmick real gang related cities like LA & Chicago, but its not truly part of their culture..chi gone bang forever :wow:,its sad overall really, but im just letting it be known that its really real and unlike what most hiphop fans is accustomed to..

Been saying this for the longest, that trap music doesn't have the conflict, hostilities, and hard feelings of the music coming from the Midwest, east coast, and west coast.

Its not grimy enough, its too feel good and upbeat, one of the main reasons I can't listen to a Trap rapper.

They selling crack, getting pu$$y, and getting money, making it sound like they are having the time of their life.
Future. Rocko. Trinidad Jame$. Rick Ross. 2Chainz. :camby:

:what:

above is an example of why grime music is the grimiest music by default :troll:

"technical difficulties yeah :troll:"

but nah seriously...grime at it's peak>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and genre in terms of darkness. It comes from this weird angle that I haven't seen from another genre tbh

I doubt any of you mans would get it though tbh. Grime runs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay deeper than I think 98% of Americans know. MC's, Dj's and prodcuers were alll running about beefing, shooting, stabbing, fighting eachother. Mad people in the scene went to jail for shyt, there is an mc that was about to blow in the mainstream thats doing life for murder, a producer doing life for murder. Also, grime comes from pirate radio, and if you know anything about pirate radio in london, you can get years in jail for just doing it, so these man weren't playing around. There's one notorious mc called Chronik who got grime banned from the most popular pirate radio station (rinse fm) for a couple of years because he ran up in the radio station with a shotgun trying to shoot man for chatting shyt about him, and it was recorded on tape

^^^^^^^

dude with the rambo knife is chronik

actually, while we're talking about banning, grime's the only genre I know of that's been banned nationwide from being played because of the violence that rises from it being played :manny:. There's more I could go into, but you lot probs won't be assed to hear about it. But jusdt know, there's a reason why grime music was given the name 'grime'

actually im american and i know grime well. you're exaggerating. the only real beef that got violent was Tempz and griminal when he bottled him at the club. others were fabricated like Skepta and Wiley. None resulted in deaths.

Drill music has prompted a half a dozen deaths this year. and only 2 were over the age of 18. stoppit brit.

erm no i'm not

you do realise crazy titch is currently in prison for life as accessory to murder with his stepdad, and many people claim he joined in with it because some rebore mc was chatting shyt about durty goodz (his half brother)

http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2006/nov/03/ukguns.musicnews

maniac is in jail for years for what he did to his baby moms

trim has been in mad scuffles with mc's like stormin

marcus narsty beat up tempa t for bottling griminal

marcus narsty and chronik has drawn weapons on eachother, years ago back in leeds I believe

:laff: how are you gonna tell me you know grime well when you're chatting bout the tempz bottling being the only thing that really happened when wiley and dizzee don't talk to eachother anymore because dizzee feels wiley left him stranded when he got stabbed up by so solid for touching up lisa mafia's ass?

mate, sit down, bare stuff has happened in the grime scene between those in it.

^^^^^^^^^^

marcus narsty talking about the time he punched up jammer. there used to be actual footage of it on youtube but it must've got taken down.

^^^^^^^^^

can't be bothered to listen to the full set and verify beforehand but that's the set I was talking about chronik running up in rinse ready do tings to mans.

and btw how can you tell me i'm exaggerating as if anything I said didn't happen and I was actually in and around London during them times and was apart if the scene :rudy:

Street music aint going nowhere. West coast starting back up again, and Mid West has always been putting out good music, once Philly becomes active the east coast will be in action. Quiet as kept, Philly run for the past 15 years has been incredible, they influenced Wayne, Jay-Z, and Street Battles/SMACK DVD.

JME, BIG H, Pes T, Bossman are all in it and the police actually try to break into JME's yard
