I don’t understand how we not even competing though. I’m tired
Everything looks bad. Offense look like a bunch of standing around with very little movement. And defensively it's just a nightmare. Over helping, switching into terrible mismatches over and over again, constant open 3s, just a buffet of awfulness. And then these lineups :snoop:

We definitely in Wembanyana sweepstakes

Early early hot takes:

Cade isn’t a PG. too turnover prone
Piston fans overrate Bey and Stewart. Both should ideally come off bench
Hayes needs to go down to G-league
Night and Day with Duran in there defensively and on glass
Ivey has higher ceiling than Cade

Casey doing a lousy job. Setting them up for failure with this defensive scheme and these rotations

Them some spicy hot takes after only 4 games. If Cade ain’t the point forward, that’s a big hit because he doesn’t look like a natural scorer or defensive anchor

I thought when he was drafted that his best role was a Tatum/Middleton role. He was a pretty natural scorer until they decided to fukk with his shot

I felt this way going into the season but I didn't want to say it. Ivey's just so damn explosive. He's not someone you take the ball away from. You need him to have the ball in his hands because he's Detroit's most talented guy.

I don't know where that leaves Cade or what they do with him.

They missing Grant honestly :lolbron:

Fundamental problem with team is Stewart. He’s too small to play Center. He competes but is not a good enough rebounder or rim protector. And on offense his shot isn’t there yet to start at PF and he cant set effective screens and is not a lob threat. Ivey and Cade have to take such hard shots at rim because teams don’t have to account for Stew as lob threat. They play drop coverage on Cade forcing him to shoot all these mid range jumpers because Stew isn’t a threat. Cade took off last year when we got Bagley. Doesn’t make sense to not start Duren at this point

Early early hot takes:

Cade isn’t a PG. too turnover prone - maybe, Def too turnover prone though
Piston fans overrate Bey and Stewart. Both should ideally come off bench - Bey is too jump shot happy/needs to mix his game up as a streaky shooter, Stewart is a butter fingers
Hayes needs to go down to G-league - absolutely not, is easily the best facilitator/defender on the team/and needs the ball in his hands, probably still has the best assist/turnover ratio even after tonight.
Night and Day with Duran in there defensively and on glass - yeah with help defense and rebounding but Duran isn't there yet man to man/needs to get stronger/hit the weight room in regards to the more physical players, still better than Stewart though.
Ivey has higher ceiling than Cade - lol, how do you say this and say Cade is playing out of position

Casey doing a lousy job. Setting them up for failure with this defensive scheme and these rotations - agreed, better rotations will have everyone playing better, I believe he is doing this on purpose just to see what works on some puppetmaster shyt, but at the same time is sabotaging cats, the Orlando game should have given him most of the indication he needed

Cade done woke his ass up and got aggressive early and waddya know, these nikkas competing. fukk worrying to much about tryna get everybody involved. He's more of a passing these when the defense is worried about him scoring.
