Dyed all my tips honey blonde couple months back. Then about a month ago, dyed some of em honey blonde all the way down to the root 
When I get a retwist, I go with a half braided look, 5-6 cornrolls then let the rest in the back hang. Im about 18 months in the game. Cant wait till my joints get on wale status.
My face is perfectly symmetrical with high cheek bones and a strong jawline so when my shyts are pulled back exposing my full face I look godly

funny thing is that was one of the things I was looking forward too when I first got em.
funny thing is that was one of the things I was looking forward too when I first got em.I'm overdue for a retwist but I do wash 3 weeks after going to a stylist then every 2 weeks afterwards until I go back. My hair gets dry quick so I have to condition often to maintain moisture and softness otherwise my dreads get matted at roots.
I usually get 2 fishtails, my favorite style but I also haven't ventured too far out either.
Next week makes a year. I might bleach them again to celebrate.

Haven't had locs in almost three yes breh. However, you can't go wrong with searching along White Plains Road

Had mine in for 6 months grew them out for about a year beforehand.
I'm barely starting to loc I had to get the two strand twists because my hair was so long, it's better to to them short.
Keep them clean, wash every two weeks, moisturize, use water, and be patient.
Tea tree oil, aloe vera gel, coconut oil, shea, combined with gel or wax is best for retwists.
They are still frizzy, locs are not for the impatient either my hair is soft so it gets pretty frizzy.
