The NBA is the only sport where current and retired athletes and even analysts constantly take a dump on their sport

Great way to sell it to new fans.

Imagine being interested in basketball and you turn on the tv and you see chuck and shaq hating on the game, and then seeing draymond calling the nba boring and no substance?

So they're supposed to cap and say today's NBA is putting out a good product?

Will he get fined for this? The NBA is what it is these days. Everyone’s stuck in the past. Nothing will ever be like the early days and golden age of basketball. Just got to move ahead while the older players age out.

There's not really much else that can be done to improve the game of basketball without redefining the sport itself, which would be going against the grain of what the game of basketball, professional basketball, means in the grand scheme.

This is why every time Adam Silver tries to appeal and satisfy every critic who has a problem with the league, he, in turn, unintentionally does something that makes it worse. For example, yes, the All-Star hasn't been the most competitive in years, but that doesn't mean people were asking him to dismantle the traditional East vs West format for this new 8-man team/first to 40 points shyt that is going to wind up being worse.

I think Adam Silver is a good commissioner, but he seems to be driven by money, which is why he keeps making all these changes nobody is asking for; this is what separates him from Stern, who had his flaws but seemed to be more invested in basketball itself. Silver trying to appeal to everybody is what's making the league worse because he's watering down the traditions of NBA basketball for ratings and money.
